Organic
Lorenzo started dancing at the age of 14, taking lessons in ballroom dancing with a girl he didn't dare say no to. He then danced rock'n'roll, boogie woogie (Crazy Shakers), jazz dance (Incognito), tap, Argentinian tango and salsa.
In 1992, he attended the Herräng Dance Camp for the first time, where he was captivated by the joy of Lindy Hop. Since then Lorenz has been organising and teaching courses and workshops in Zurich and several major cities in Europe (Paris, Milan, Vienna, Berlin, Munich, Gothenburg, Nancy, Herrang etc.) and overseas (including at SwingCity Melbourne 2004). From beginner to professional. He has taken part in projects at the Zurich Opera and Schauspielhaus, on television and in the film industry as a choreographer and dancer. He also directs and organises his own show Dance Company Hellzapoppin' Disaster.
In the summer of 2001, he developed the concept for a new type of international festival called Swing City and organised it in Zurich. Over 30 different events took place as part of this festival: concerts, dance performances, films, public crash courses, workshops, etc. The opening night attracted over 12,000 people.
After a successful start, this concept then went on a world tour and has so far been a guest in Stockholm in 2002, Harlem (New York) in 2003 and Melbourne in 2004. Lorenz has also been part of the organisation of the Herräng Dance Camp since 2002.
Lorenzo is also a DJ and MC for swing parties. He teaches all over Europe, from children, amateurs to professionals, and is in great demand as he shares more than just steps with his students. Multilingual and slightly crazy, he shares his passion for Lindy Hop with you!

Teaching Philosophy & Approach
Lorenzo has spent decades refining the curriculum and syllabus that the courses at Swing Productions are based on and remains true to the principles he learnt from the greats in Herräng. This closeness to the origins makes Lorenzo a unique dance teacher who reproduces Lindy Hop in its most authentic form.
