Data protection
DATA PROTECTION
1. general information
When accessing the information offered by swing.ch, no personal data is collected and stored with the aim of evaluating individual user behaviour, although certain information and transaction offers can only be processed if a minimum amount of personal data has been disclosed. The relevant data protection provisions apply.
2. non-tracking data
The use of the website www.swing.ch generates data. Some of the data is generated for technical reasons and is necessary, while other data is collected deliberately in order to obtain information about the type of use and to be able to continuously adapt the website to user requirements. When the website www.swing.ch or one of its subpages is accessed for the first time, a cookie is stored on the visitor's system by the load balancer. This cookie contains a random hash value that is used to define the server to which all subsequent requests from the system are directed. The aim is to distribute the load evenly across all servers and when www.swing.ch or one of its direct subpages is called up, the desktop or mobile-optimised version of the website is displayed depending on the size of the browser window used. If this automatic setting is changed manually using the "Switch to mobile view" or "Switch to desktop view" button, the new setting is saved on the user's system via a cookie. The cookie contains the desired setting in the form of text ("mobile" or "desktop") and has a lifespan of 20 years. When filling out surveys and forms as well as a course enrolment/registration, it is assumed that the user is participating voluntarily and therefore also providing the data voluntarily. The data transmitted will be used exclusively within the scope of the survey or the relevant form. The data will not be passed on to third parties. https://www.swing.ch/#!/c124 can be used to receive news from the cantonal administration on specific topics via telegram. The information requested for this purpose will be used exclusively for this purpose and will not be passed on to third parties, except of course to the necessary manufacturer and operator of telegram.Swing.ch offers live transmission via video streaming on certain occasions. For technical reasons, the IP addresses of the devices playing the stream are made known to the service provider responsible for this for the duration of the transmission. The IP addresses are stored in anonymised form for statistical purposes.
3. data from tracking activity
The website www.swing.ch and its direct subpages use web analytics software (currently www.matomo.org) to obtain information to improve the website using anonymised data. This so-called tracking can be prevented by the do-not-track setting in common browsers. This setting has the effect that the "Do-Not-Track" tag is sent in the header block of the browser request and the visitor's actions are not analysed; normally, the following data about the visitor's system is collected via a JavaScript implemented in the website:
- IP address
- Date and time of the enquiry
- Page title of the requested pageURL of the currently requested pageURL of the previously accessed page (referrer)
- Current screen resolution
- Local time
- Files that have been clicked and downloaded
- Clicked links that point to external pages (outlink)
- Time taken to create and deliver the page to the visitor (page speed)
- Location: Country, region, city, approximate longitude and latitude (geolocation). This information is based on the analysis of the IP address and therefore only provides very rough results in some cases
- Language version used by the browser (Accept-Language header)
- Client used (User-Agent header)
The IPv4 address is shortened by the last byte for storage and processing and is therefore anonymised. If Javascript is not available to the user, the following data is collected via the alternative tracking pixel:
- IP address
- Date and time of the enquiry
- URL of the currently requested page
- Current screen resolution
- Local time
- Files that have been clicked and downloaded
- Clicked links that point to external pages (outlink)
- Time taken to create and deliver the page to the visitor (page speed)
- Location of the visitor system: country, region, city, approximate longitude and latitude (geolocation). This information is based on the analysis of the IP address and therefore only provides very rough results in some cases.
- Language version used by the browser (Accept-Language header)
- Client used (User-Agent header)
The IPv4 address is shortened by the last byte for storage and processing and is therefore anonymised. In order to recognise returning visitors, a cookie containing the following data is stored on the user's system during a visit (if possible):
- Randomly generated unique user ID
- Time of the first visit of this user ID
- Time of the last visit of this user ID
- Total number of visits for this user ID
The assigned ID is random and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the acting person. The cookie has a lifespan of 7 days and is extended by a further 7 days for visits within this period. During a visit, each visitor is assigned a random ID by means of the session cookie (if possible), by means of which all actions on the website can be assigned to this visitor. The cookie is usually deleted automatically when the browser window is closed. The default setting, in which session cookies are automatically deleted either when the tab is closed or when the browser is closed, can be overridden manually or by certain convenience functions. The server log is created by default and contains all essential information about an access. The logged data contains the following information:
- IP address
- User identifier (according to RFC 1413)
- User ID
- Date, time and time zone at which the server received the request
- Method, requested resource and protocol used
- HTTP status code
- Size of the delivered object in bytes
The log files are retained for a limited period for technical reasons and then deleted.
If you have any questions, please contact us at any time, even off the dance floor.
