It was in late 2012 when life asked me for my first dance – and I haven’t ever stopped moving my feet since then. The lively melodies, layered harmonies and addictingly syncopated rhythms drew me in, the life-affirming and loveable people made me stay.
A solid seven years of Lindy Hop dancing get accompanied by two years of classical jazz training, some solo-jazz, a spoonful of tap-dancing, a pinch of blues and a big portion of enthusiasm for anything related to the era of the roaring twenties, thirties and forties.
As a dancer I love losing myself in movement, trying to express the multi-layered music that is swing. As a teacher I believe this to be achieved with a clear and clean technical foundation, which I strive to pass on to my pupils. I love explaining, teaching and above all, getting everyone just as excited about the dance as I am. If I’m not on the dancefloor I can usually be found behind the bar at our monthly SwingFloor parties, trying to keep everyone hydrated.
